Canada GDP Growth Exceeds Expectations

Real GDP rose by 2.1% QoQ saar. Government consumption was the main driver, adding 0.32 percentage points (ppts) to growth. Given the slowdown in household consumption and the fact that inflation continues to decelerate, we expect the Bank of Canada to deliver another 25 bp cut in its next meeting.
