Did you know? ETF investors are likely to be more satisfied with their investment portfolio than investors who don’t hold ETFs.1
We surveyed 1,000+ investors on their outlook, portfolio allocations, and the trends they predict will have the greatest impact in the future. What did they say? Find out.
Across investors surveyed, optimism about the global economy declines with age. Boomer investors in the US are especially negative — only 8% have a favorable outlook.
Do investors feel the same about their own personal financial outlook?
ETFs are gaining in popularity among investors. In the US, Singapore, and Japan, more investors have ETFs in their portfolios now than at the end of 2022; in Australia, significantly more do.
What factors are drawing individuals to ETFs as they increase in popularity?
ETFs are known to deliver diversification and access at a lower cost. And across all four countries surveyed, investors using ETFs do so most often to access their diversification benefits, flexibility in trading, and low cost/expense ratio.
What other reasons did they identify?
The majority of ETF investors agree that ETFs have improved the performance of their portfolios (Figure 4) — and that ETFs have made them a better investor (Figure 5).
And, surveyed ETF investors report that they’re more satisfied with their portfolios than investors who do not own ETFs.
