Karlan Patel
ETF Investment Strategist
Karlan Patel is an Investment Strategist at State Street Global Advisors. He serves a conduit between the ETF distribution team and SPDR Research. He has a deep understanding of the capital markets, portfolio construction techniques and State Street’s thought leadership. He is responsible for presenting market insight to intermediary clients, developing product strategy, and training the sales force.
Prior to State Street, Karlan worked in Vanguard’s Advisor Portfolio Analytics and Consulting department where he conducted portfolio reviews and presented thought leadership to aid external advisors with portfolio construction. He was a subject matter expert on portfolio analysis, ETF/MF market trends and Vanguard investment methodology. Prior to this role, Karlan was a member of Vanguard’s executive leadership program.
Karlan has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
