Minkyu Kim

Minkyu is a Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors and Head of Data and Analytics in the Systematic Equity team. He spearheads Systematic Equity's research efforts that leverage alternative data and machine learning, driving innovation in the team's investment process. He also plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm's strategy on data, computing infrastructure and quantitative research environment as the chair of Research/IT Council.
Previously within SSGA, Minkyu did quantitative research for various active equity strategies for the U.S., North America, global developed and emerging markets.
Minkyu earned a Ph.D. and an S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a minor in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
