Laura A. Ostrander

Laura is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) and an Emerging Markets Macro Strategist on the Emerging Market Equity Team. She is responsible for macro strategy including country and currency research and analysis, economic and political monitoring and risk assessment, country/currency allocation, and valuation analysis.

Laura joined SSGA in July 2016 through its acquisition of GE Asset Management (GEAM). She joined GEAM in 2011 as an Emerging Market Debt Portfolio Manager and Team Leader. Prior to joining GEAM, Laura spent one year at Delaware Investments as a Senior International and Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Delaware Investments, Laura worked at Columbia Management, serving as lead portfolio manager on the firm's multi-sector product. In this role, she was responsible for the overall asset allocation across U.S. government, emerging markets, developed markets foreign government, and high yield corporate bonds, and was directly responsible for the investments in the U.S. and foreign sectors of the product. She was head of the Columbia Management international bond team from 1996 until her departure in 2010. Laura held portfolio manager roles at American Express Financial Advisors, American Express Bank, and Offitbank.

Laura has a B.A. in Economics from St. John Fisher College.
